## scouting, 2018–2511 entries
Seven years in scouting, ending at Eagle*. As senior patrol leader I ran a troop of 40 scouts: weekly meetings, monthly campouts, leadership councils, and regular community and conservation service. As quartermaster I managed the troop's gear. I spent summers on camp staff teaching engineering, programming, aviation, and space exploration to about 250 kids a season.

## turtle club
Founded in 4th grade as the first elementary school club in the district. Over five years we raised about $4,000 for sea turtle rehabilitation and advocacy through fundraisers, awareness events, and talks. The club still exists today and still raises money for the turtles.
